Rent a Tuk Tuk in Koh Phangan

When renting one of villas here in Koh Phangan you have the great opportunity to rent one of the most famous vehicles in Thailand, the Tuk Tuk. Invented about 50 years ago the Tuk Tuk is said to originate from Japan by the car company Daihatsu. Thailand went into the production of these vehicles many years later. The original Tuk Tuk can be found in many places across Thailand including Bangkok where today they are used as a popular taxi vehicle.

A Tuk Tuk is characterized by a metal body or an open frame sitting on a three-wheeled chassis with a canvas roof or hardtop roof with open sides and a small cabin with one seat for the driver. The Tuk will normally have to seat for 2 to 3 people. The Tuk Tuk here at our villas can seat 7 people including driver comfortably.

The tuk-tuk is easy to ride with motorbike steering and accelerator on the steering. The brake is a foot pedal on the right side. Most Tuks Tuks are manual gearbox, the one here at the villa is an automatic gearbox which makes it easy to ride.
